The local knowledge
The Bannered Mare is Whiterun’s busy inn, run by Hulda when the player first arrives. Food, drink, rooms and music make it a useful pause between journeys. Like many good game-world inns, it offers both practical shelter and a chance to feel part of the town.
Our interpretation
A horse and flowing banner sit within Nordic-inspired decoration, with forest green and oak giving the sign a sturdy character.
