Pubs / A less respectable local
The Hobbit’s Armpit
A wonderfully undignified name deserves a proper pub sign. For anyone whose fantasy adventures come with a sense of humour.

The local knowledge
The Hobbit’s Armpit is associated with Thrud the Barbarian, Carl Critchlow’s comic creation familiar to White Dwarf readers. Thrud’s fondness for drinking and spectacular pub mayhem makes it a rather different destination from a peaceful Shire inn. The name belongs to that irreverent comic world, despite its hobbit reference.
Our interpretation
Our version gives a magnificently undignified name the treatment of a proper old pub sign. The sign’s styling is our own take on the joke.
