His curiosity about the shop and its visitors draws him into a mystery that connects old books with modern technology. The apparently modest business has secrets extending well beyond its shelves.
Our interpretation
A rolling ladder climbs between towering bookshelves beneath a crescent moon. Midnight-blue enamel, brass edging and an illuminated open book give this imagined shop sign the feeling of a place still awake when the rest of the city sleeps.
