The Sempere family bookshop is a central place in Daniel Sempere’s life in The Shadow of the Wind. Set on Barcelona’s Carrer de Santa Anna, it connects family, readers and the mysteries surrounding the writer Julián Carax. The shop is fictional; its street belongs to the real city.
Our interpretation
